The Bike Experience

The Bike Experience (Talan Skeels-Piggins)

John and I first met Talan whilst we were helping Colin Seeley fund raising for Rainbows Hospice. Talan was giving an absolutely tremendous inspirational talk at a corporate entertainment evening for Erik’s (www.eriks.co.uk) private guests to which we had been very kindly invited.

Jospice fundingUnfortunately our busy roles at the time did not allow us to sit down, relax and take in all that Talan had to say, however we heard enough to remain more than impressed at this bikers radiating warmth, his sheer enthusiasm, excellent sense of humour and his high spirits in delivering such a highly invigorating speech from the confines of his wheelchair.

I caught up with Talan the following day and although, (as always), he was in great demand I did have the opportunity to spend some time with him, see his specially modified motorcycle and learn more about the excellent work that he is doing through “The Bike Experience” to help those who by accident, illness or injury (some from the armed services defending our country) have become less fortunate than ourselves.
After becoming aware of Talan’s injuries and subsequent disability it was truly amazing to see him riding his bike at Mallory as he has developed the ability to blend in with and ride like any other biker on the track.

The Bike Experience is a registered Charity No.1145547, set up by Talan to help injured and disabled motorcyclist get the confidence to get back on a bike, a very worthwhile organisation for which donations and sponsorship would always be welcomed.

John and I would, therefore, strongly recommend that you learn more about this incredible, very capable disabled rider and the sterling work that he does to help others by visiting his websites.
