The Isle of Man Festival of Motorcycling (incorporating Manx GP & Classic TT Races)

August 19:September 1

A full  PRACTICE & RACE   progamme  &  VMCC  (IOM)  RALLY  details can be found within our “Event Advertising Flyers”  section

One of the real highlights of the year what a fantastic time we always have at the “Manx”  now better known as the IOM Festival of Motorcycling, incorporating the Manx Grand Prix and the Classic TT races, (once again sponsored by Bennetts). Johns Motorcycle News is also once again sponsoring Dan Beighton Racing and BBC Radio Lancs’ “Gilly Duck” is set to become “the fastest Duck around the Course” (see our “News & Events”). A fabulous time can be had by all with lots to see and do between races. Fly over or take the Steampacket Company boats from Heysham or Liverpool. If you have not been before we strongly recommend you take a good look at our “Places to Visit”  section, which features many of the attractions, we also have an article withing our “Events and Shows” about the 2016 Festival.

The VMCC rally is one not to be missed and also the world famous “Festival of Jurby”  held on the Sunday at Jurby airfield (organised by the IOM’s VMCC Section), where you will see more bikes than you could ever imagine. Whilst at Jurby do not miss the nearby Transport Museum and the Isle of Man Motor Museum. Tony East’s ARE museum at Kirkmichael and Pete Murrays, Murray’s Motorcycle museum at Stanton (towards the airport) are also not to be missed. Lots more as well, a great place to visit, enjoy the islands beautiful roads but most of all ride safe and you will be able to go back year after year.

Last years John’s Motorcycle News sponsored Dan Beighton of DB Racing and we are pleased to say that Dan is returning to the island in 2017 and we will be sponsoring him once again. You can read more about Dan and DB Racing in our “News and Interest”  section, keep an eye out for him and sponsor him if you can, we all wish him good luck.
